Homicide, Murder, Manslaughter Uknown last name

My friend was just arrested three days ago for murder out front of a store. I haven't known him that long so I don't know his last name. I want to go visit him in jail but how do I find out his last name? If I was to question the police about the incident would they give up his name to me?

The agency that arrested him likely out it a news release with the suspect's name. If you can't find the name in the newspaper you might find it on the department website. The name is not private and someone may be willing to tell you via phone call if they understand who it is you are taking about.

If the neighbor is a juvenile the name will be confidential.

Hmm, a friend? If you're smart, you'll avoid this person. As Moose said, it's in the newspapers (they're available online, as are TV websites).

You'll find out the name and lots more.

If you haven't known him long, don't know his last name & he was arrested for murder, you might want to make a different friend.
