Hello ok so going to try to make this as short as possible. Basically I moved in with a friend she had like 5 vehicles and told me that I could use the black vehicle if I needed to but try not to use it a lot I literally drove the car twice once to go to the dr and once to go pick up a package at the ups store. Ok so me and her get in a fight the day I go to the dr so i go back to the house from the dr office drop the car off get my things and leave "got my friend to pick me up"
Later that evening I get a message saying she's going to try to get me with stealing a vehicle and then she said she did and the cop said its unauthorized use of a vehicle. I don't think she really called the cops but who knows. She gave me verbal permission and maybe even a text I'll have to look at my messages from when I moved in but is now saying her neighbors have cameras and she's got me on video leaving in the car so that's her proof.. Mind u when I used the car both times I was living in her home. What I'm asking is how can she prove that ? Are they just going to take her word for it. Come to find out the car wasn't even hers that she let me use it was a friends who was deployed who has no idea she is lending her car out to people. But Idk what to do

But Idk what to do

There's nothing you can do until and unless the police come to your door and then you say "I invoke my right to remain silent" and keep your mouth shut no matter what happens.

Meantime, you can assume she is blowing hot air. Ignore her, block her calls, emails, texts, and don't have anything else to do with her. Period.
