my daughter was pulled over and asked if she had anything in her car. she told the sheriff she had a piece of a blunt in her cigarette pack. the girl with her, an aquaintence had about 1/8 ounce and a pipe and it was this girls 2nd arrest, my daughters first. She wasn't taken in, instead the sheriff called both girls parents to come pick them up. they were told they would hear from the state attorneys office soon. we got a letter today from the florida dept of juvenille justice asking us to come in for an interview before sending any information on to the state attorney. the letter stated we have the right to bring an attorney with us. we also have to bring my daughters ss card, and report card. my question is should i bring an attorney with us for this "interview" or is there a chance my daughter may get away with a slap on the wrist???? thanks !!!(she has chance of scholarship and playing volleyball at the college level.)
