Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Underage drinking (MIC) 2002 SD

I want to do some clean up of my small but problematic criminal record. I am in a safety sensitive job that requires a clean criminal and driving record. With that being said, when attending South Dakota State University in 2002 I received an underage drinking. It is a second-class misdemeanor. In addition to a fine I had to attend a youth diversion program and my drivers license was suspended for 30 days. I am tired of having to check the box on work applications that I have a misdemeanor and my driver's license has been suspended (very bad in my line of work). I don't have any other alcohol related violations in my past and the underage drinking (MIC) did not involve a motor vehicle. How can I get the misdemeanor and suspended license off my record like it never happened?

Call an attorney, probably a criminal defense one, and ask if he'll help you get it expunged from your record. As you only have one offense, and it was over 5 years ago, it should be easy.
