State: North Carolina
Heya, names Jack. I used to work for an electrical company but it closed down and I lost the job I've been working at for nearly 40 years. I'm in the process of looking for a new job right now, not many people want to hire a 63yr old man though.I try to go to at least 3 places every week and turn in applications, there hasn't been anyone who would hire me so far though, I'm still hoping though.
The unemployment check was basically the only thing keeping the lights on at my house. We currently have 6 people living here right now. My wife, her son and daughter, and my two grandchildren. My wife recently had cancer so I took over all the household duties and just plain out forgot to file for my TRA benefits. It was a very stupid mistake I know that but I'm just not sure what I can do from here on other than hope a job opens up. Any information or help at all would be greatly appreciated.
