unemployment/searching for job while drawing it

My wife is about to get laid off from her job, but only for 2 months or so, my question is will she have to actually look for a job in that time frame knowing that she will be brought back in 2 months or so, if her company verifies this to the employment comm.? Thanks for any info.

Absolutely. If she does not look for work and return the weekly forms indicating that she has, then you will find yourself paying back and benefits received.

I think she should ask the UI commission this question. I know there are some states where, if it is a seasonal layoff and the employer confirms this, a weekly job search *can* (not *will*) be waived.
