unfair firing proceedure

i was told by my employer that i was going to be fired and what my last day would be. So I claimed unemployment and now my previous employer is saying that i voluntarily quit and i has filed an appeal with the state for my unemployment. wha should i do?

You have to prove you were going to be fired. Since you technically quit they can appeal it. NEVER quit, you should have just waited for them to fire you. You probably will not receive UE now.

Duraine is correct you should always wait until the day you are let go before you file. Any thing else just causes headaches.
