I am currently a student in a university. In the beginning of the year, we were given a syllabus that stated that we would only have one exam, which would be worth 70% of our grade. After the exam was taken, the professor decided to change the weight of the exam to 50%, and add a second exam which was never mentioned in the syllabus.
Is it legal to change a syllabus, especially after the fact, in this case, after the exam was taken?

The syllabus is not a contract. The professor has every right to follow or not follow the syllabus. Welcome to real life.
