Unlawful Detainer-Eviction notice

Myself, My wife and our three kids are a good family. We have lived at our apartment complex for about 4 years. Our landlord has never had a compliant or issue with us before. We have had some financial troubles the last 4-5 months. Our landlord has worked with us for the last couple of months. But we were just served an unlawful Detainer-Eviction notice and were served by the sheriff. We have until September 7th to leave or pay the amount. We will not have the amount until the 20th. We do not have anywhere to go. Is there something we can do?

Your landlord has been very patient up to now. Contrary to what most renters think...not all landlords are rich. Most of them have mortgages and bills to pay themselves. Since you were served by the sheriff already, I suggest you either borrow the money or find some place else to live quickly.
