My landlord came into the house I am currently renting to show it to potential tenants, when neither my wife nor I were home, without any notice at all. He also left the front door unlocked when he left; this is how I knew someone had been in the house. My question is: does the landlord have the right to come into the house whenever he wants, or does he have to give notice and ask permission? The lease does not specify either way.
