I was stopped in the intersection, while waiting for a chance to turn, Traffic was clear, and the light turned yellow, there was a car coming, but it was almost a block away from the light, so I immediately began to turn, so that I may clear the intersection, when an oncoming car entered the intersection, and collided with my own, I had pressed on the brake too avoid getting into a T-Bone type accident, so instead his front corner, collided with my front end.

The catcher was, there was a police officer, right behind me in traffic, waiting to turn as well, he had entered the intersection himself, (which is against the law for him to do).

After being stopped in a parking lot for about 20 minutes, while filling out witness statement for the police, I was given the ticket for an unsafe turn, and let go, with a collision report, and everything.

I did not ask if the other driver got a ticket for failing to yield to a yellow light.

Yes, you need to be careful at all times.

You just never know when an accident can occur.

I hope you didn't get hurt, and you should speak with your insurance company to arrange for your car to be repaired.

Maybe you can take traffic school and have the ticket erased?

Traffic school can be done online from the comfort of your lovely home in Canada.

Google (TRAFFIC SCHOOL ONLINE CANADA YOUR PROVINCE) to see if Canada allows its citizenry to take traffic school to get citations resolved.

I don't see where you asked a specific question but I believe army judge most likely covered what you wanted to know or what you should do.
