My roommate is moving out. It hasn't ended well. She never informed me she was going to have her mother come and stay. But, she had her mother stay with her for the weekend. Now that is Monday. Her my mother is still at our apartment and my roommate is at work. Do I have any rights? Can I stop her from having guest stay the night? And espeically not have her guests here while she is not here? Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

Does your lease address this problem?

Exactly what are you asking? She is moving out as you are unhappy at her having guests there while you are not at home. It is her home too since she rents with you and I think it's odd you object to the mother being there. Is her name on the contract? Is the contract with you or an apartment complex or with who? If it's with you: Are you releasing your roommate from the contract? Is the contract month to month, for a year? If you release her she is no longer obligated and you are responsible to find a new roommate. If it's an apartment complex and she is on the lease you both need to talk to the manager and discuss the terms of the lease and what will happen if she moves out, and who is responsible for what.
