Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft urgent help

I am 15, my boyfriend is 14. Last year when he was 13 a friend of his talked him into stealing roughly $40 in video games. His court date is tomarrow. The friend didnt get caught but he did. :dgrin I know he feels really bad about it and wishes he never did it. I am in Kansas if that helps. I am not sure what punishment he might face or anything of the sort. would he get probation? is there anything that can help his case? Please help quick!

He should talk to his Lawyer about Diversion or the like to protect his record

First time juvenile offenses are usually handled with diversion and programs showing the offender the seriousness of the offense. This is along with the fines and civil demand he also faces.
