I am currently a divorced father of three. My divorce was final over 11 years ago. My wife was granted a change of domicile 11 years agoand moved to San Diego with the three children. My oldest daughter is currently 21 and lives with her mother. My second child my daughter who is now 19, moved back to Michigan to live with my wife and I over five years ago. My youngest child is a 13 year old boy who still alos lives with his motherin San Diego. I recently had my summer visit with my son and following the visit I filed for a Change of Custody and Visitation. I filed this motion due to the following issues: My son is 13 years old and shares a bedroom with his mother, he has been on adderallXR for over seven years for ADHD. When here he stated he wanted to be off the medication. He was removed and acted just as a 13 year old boy should. When he returned to California he was immediately placed back on the medication. In addition, my son is in special education, failing class, is way behind socially, mentally and physically. (he has to be told to brush his teeth, change his clothes, wash his face etc.) he has played no sports or been involved in any activity he seriously lacks coordination, he told me over his visit he is tired of being picked last in everything at school etc. My ex-wife hired an attorney who in response to my motion for a hearing regarding Change of Custody and visitation filed a "Verified motion to Transfer File Pursuant to the Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement SupportAct. All info I can find on this act seems to deal with enforcement of support with regard to those who have had issues with child support. I have had the support directly taken from my pay as I am a state employee from day one and have never had a single issue. It doesnt seem like this is an appropriate response to my filing regarding Custody and Visitation. I am a veteran and would appreciate any help or advice on this matte, thank you.
