Vehicle purchase

I purchased a car from a friend.. Payments made each week, but have not registered vehicle yet. Friend upset hasn't been registered, & is demanding I return the vehicle. I have pink slip & all paperwork stating I've purchased vehicle. Do I need to return the vehicle?

You do not need to return it but you do need to register it pronto.

Your friend should have notified the DMV of the sale when he signed over the title. If he did so then he has no liability for the vehicle. However, you may face penalties for failing to register the vehicle. It is in your best interest financially to get it done.
