My son was with me from 2001-2004 and then in 2004 I had become ill and was not able to look after him. So he went to live with his absent father. His father agreed to return once I had gotten better. But further medial issues occured and I didnt have an employment so it was best interest to have my son with his father. Now my son is 11 years old and calls me all the time to say that his father miss treats him is not there most of the time is drinking and bringing unknown femals to the house and often beats with a belt that causes bruises. I know that I should report him but Im scared of my son being retalited on. Both of us I guess has joint custody but now joint legal custody. Can you give me advice on wha I should do at this point my son wants to come and live with me at this point

You already know what to do but dont want to do it. If you value your child's safety then you contact childrens services to investigate possible abuse
