I was recently arrested for violating a protective order that I had no prior knowledge of. I was on probation for a domestic charge and had a modified order so that I could see my kids(divorced). Before I was arrested and after the new no contact order had been put in place, my ex-wife let me take the kids to the circus and spend time with them over the weekend. She didn't tell me she had put a new order on me and I never recieved anything saying there was a new order. So I unknowingly violated the order.
I need help with this situation or I have to go to jail for a year. PLEASE HELP!!!

If you cannot afford an attorney, an attorney will be provided for you by the state. The attorney will have a chance to review the state's case and, presumably, he or she can also obtain any relevant copies of the proof of service documents. Those documents should state who served the paperwork and when. If there was no valid service, then the state's case should dissolve.
