Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Was caught shoplifting. Please help me!

Almost 2 years ago I was caught shoplifting. My mom was in the store with me. Instead of getting an LP, the manager came out. He didn't ask me to sign anything, or take my picture. He just asked me to write down my name and address and told my mom I wasn't allowed in the store. No police were involved. I want to know if I was entered into the retail theft database, and if I was will it show in a background check. And do I have a criminal record?

There is no way anyone can say for sure if you are in a retail theft database.
But, from what you describe, I'd venture a GUESS that you have no criminal record because of the incident.
It also sounds as if you we're a minor at the time, and because of that (plus your mom and a very good hearted store manager), you're LIKELY not to be in a retail theft database.
So, why not conduct a test?
Now, if you decide to do this, it won't speak to ALL of those dastardly databases, but you'll have a general idea.
Apply for a job at a couple DIFFERENT retail stores.
If you get job offers, you'll KNOW you aren't in THAT particular database.

You can always politely decline the job offers.

Again, my guess is that your name and record are clean, so behave as if they are.
You appear to have learned your lesson, so I wish you much luck and success in life.

Yes, I was a minor at the time. But, if the police weren't called and I never received anything in the mail to appear in court, that does mean I have a clean record right? And yes, I most definitely have learned my lesson.

If there were no Police ort court date then no you do not have a criminal record. I work as a Retail Theft consultant and have knowledge of who uses databases. If you email or PM me with the name of the store I can tell you if they use any retail theft database. I cannot disclose this publically but I can privately.

Since you were a minor, that also might have kept you out of a retail theft database - some retail theft databases do not put in reports on minors.
