Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft What do I ask my lawyer?

Im going first thing in the morning and think I will hire him then. I just NEED to know some important questions I should ask. I want to adopt so bad, and do not want a mistake (which believe me, I've learned from) to ruin my entire life!! I know I was wrong, didn't even want the item..just wanted to see if it worked or not. The lawyer said he is VERY sure we can get community service with suspended sentence and it will never show up!! I've never done anything illegal and am terrified and ashamed. I hate myself for this, that is punishment alone. SOOO...QUESTIONS FOR LAWYER?!?!? lol

I can't. My fiance is concerned because I cant even eat. I am an emotional wreck. I don't know how not to worry. My whole future depends on this. :/ You're awesome though, very helpful.
