i want to know what does this question mean

I have been caught from Shoplifting at aged 16 in my country, but i didnt go to any court, i just have somthing called "Superintendent Caution" without criminal record in the police station.

so what should i put in the above question, yes or no?

Without seeing the actual disposition of case its hard to say. If I had to guess you would answer no, but its only a guess
