I was convicted of a Felony 5 theft nearly 5 years ago. I was sentenced to 18 months which was suspended upon completion of a rehab program/alternative program, which I completed successfully. Upon completion of that program, I was released, and served around 7 month of community control, which was terminated early for good behavior.
About 3 and half years ago, I was convicted or a DUI in the state of Oregon. From my understanding, this DUI prevents me from having the felony expunged from my record. I am an avid hunter, and would like to restore my right to carry, possess or purchase firearms. I have heard a little bit about the relief from disability, ORC - 2923.14.
I am wondering what steps I need to take to file for this, and if I have a good shot at successfully obtaining it.Any help is greatly appreciated.
