Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft what will happen?

hi....thank you anyone who will take time to read this. Today my friend and i went to a well known store and stole something, then we went to another store and got caught there. At first, they were very mean and strict, but soon became nicer and even shared how they had stole stuff when they were young after they realized that we were good kids who just made a STUPID mistake. they wrote down our name,age,address, and SCHOOL and made us call our parents. i felt very embarassed when my family came and hope that it could just be realeased. the security guard guy said that we would recieve a letter and would have to pay a fine. i am very scared if this would go into any records or mine or my friend weather criminal or school. my friend and i are both 14 and are very good students, but will this go on our recordz after we pay the fine? PLZ AND THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME ON THIS STUPID STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE!

Since there were no Police involved the only record should be with store and any retail theft database they might subscribe to

omg admin thx for the answer....it had me scared so much that it could b in our recordz!...i regret doing that ever again...because my parents are very dissapointed in me now and think that my friend is a bad influence...

how much do u tink the civil demand will be?....we are 14 and probably stole 14 dollars of stuff....from the one we got caught in..but from the other one..we stole electronic devices....but we were never caught by the store where we stole electronic devices

1. What was value of stuff you stole at store you were caught at?

2. What happened with stuff from other store?

the stuff we got caught with...wasn't much...mayb 14 bucks?

the other stuff, they said they were gonna return them....their value must have been like 100 bucks...because they were electronic device cases...

im very scared that itz gonna be like a lot, but i remember the guard said it might have been 1-3 hundred or so...im still not sure how much it will be.
we are 14, under 18

Its hard to say what (if anything) will happen with other store. However the Civil Demand for a $14.00 theft should be around $200.00 give or take $100.00.

wow...100 dollars?...that is a little high tough.
if the other store was to charge us as well, what is the most that they CAN charge us with?
i'm just hecka scared because we are usually good kids who get good grades and stuff and now our parents are shocked by our actions.

That will depend but until that happens focus on what you "know" The fine si not steep if you knew what it costs to protect stores from shoplifters. By the way fyi retailer slose over 15 billion (with a B) each year to shoplifting alone!

yea i had just read the nasp stuff...and it pretty much is true...the excitement stuff and yata...im just pretty mad that we have to pay a fine for so much...tatz all...and that it might go on record... and dissapointing family =[

Is it high? Possibly but you dont get to barter the fine

See if they will take a partial payment and settle the account. Offer $300 paid right then and they might settle.

oooh, and btw just asking, will this show up for job interveiws and stuff when they check records? like will it affect my employment opportunies such as showing on records and stuff??? k thx!
