Criminal Records, Expungement Youthful Offender Records

30 Years ago I was convicted for 2 counts of petty larceny, I was 16 at the time, had no prior criminal record and was given youthful offender treatment and my records were to be sealed. Last year while in NYC I was arrested for an open container violation, during the process I was told that this Petty Larceny is still on my record, shouldn't this have been sealed and what are my options now for correcting this. I have not records from the courts and my lawer has long since retired.

Go back to the court in which the 30 year old crime was tried. Search teh records. If incorrect contact court about correcting them. At 16 years old its possible you "assumed" records were sealed not that an order was placed to seal them
