Counselor, the client got "hosed?" I couldn't find that term in my lexicon of legal terms! You don't ever want to be seen as a youngin. You know too much for that.
I'm glad you did because you rose to the occasion even when you could have been pissy. The one answer you gave drove me nuts. The one about liens! You just happened to hit on my true expertise. Sorry.
When you first started posting I figured you were either a law student or a young lawyer. After I was a bit hard on you, you got MUCH better with your answers. You will make a good lawyer.
I certainly appreciate the offer, but I have another year until I am admitted to the NY bar, or any bar for that matter. I have a practice order, but I haven't finished my JD.
NY, I'm going to be through my first draft of a manuscript on a book about CPS and how to deal with them next week. I am enlisting attorneys barred in various states to edit the book for their state specifics laws and codes. I will sell and distribute. Would you be interested in doing it for NY? What other states are you barred in?
I wonder what is up with all these wacko child predators. I really don't feel like helping them, and it seems so far all of them either flat-out LIE or leave out pertinent information. So, when these posts are made, you'll pretty much see me just prying to satisfy my curiousity if they are lying or not.
On the sentencing thread, the boyfriend has high anxiety and his girlfriend has been lying, so it's understandable. Also, the prosecutor might be playing hardball with such an "easy" case, so there may be a trial just because there may be nothing to lose for the defendant. In my opinion. . .
Something is weird about that "Sentencing Advice" thread. I can't put my finger on it. This guy used a gun, robbed them, and there is a witness. The only time the character of the "victim" is even possibly an issue is when it is possible to claim the sex was consensual. That isn't possible here.
