Federal government interference to myself due to crime

Please understand that the DL is not proof. You could be lying (I am not saying you are lying) when you say you never had that picture taken but the picture itself is proof that the picture WAS taken. It is not proof that it was taken without your knowledge.

Layoff? or a legal-friendly termination workaround?

Long, long time HR manager here. Just for clarification, there is no such legal term as an "unjust termination". I think the phrase you may be looking for is wrongful termination. As Jack, who has been reading my responses for a great many years, indicated, for a wrongful termination claim you...

Can someone get fired for calling in with a sunburn

I was thinking FMLA but yeah, if the burn was bad enough I suppose the ADA could come into play as well. In any case, I think you and I and the manager all agree that this isn't a road he wants to go down and that just letting him have the time off is the better solution.

Can someone get fired for calling in with a sunburn

It's your supervisor's decision. If he doesn't want to fire the guy, that's up to him.

Can someone get fired for calling in with a sunburn

Your manager is mistaken, but he's not entirely off the wall either. There are laws that protect an employee from being fired for missing work due to illnesses. They wouldn't apply in this case, but they do exist. Besides, firing someone for calling in one day is a bit extreme, don't you think?

    When you get married?

Let's see if we can simplify this. When I got married, I took a copy of our marriage certificate to the local Social Security office. They began their process, whatever it is at their end, and right there and then gave me a piece of paper that said I had officially changed my name with them. I...

    Divorcing overseas

I'm sorry, but this is primarily a US board and the law in the US is not the same as the law in the UK. You need to find a UK board as I don't think anyone here has any knowledge of UK family law. I don't know anything about this board but it came up in a Google search. There may be others...

    Employer behavior

Just FYI, a wrongful termination means that there is a specific law that prohibits the employer from firing you for the reason he did. It does not mean one that is unfair, unexpected, for something you did not do, or even one that is against company policy in most cases.

The Very Sad Ending to What Was Once Thought to be a Great Presidency.

There are also those who believe that the earth is flat, or that the Holocaust never happened, or that one need not pay any income tax. Belief in something does not make it true.

Just to be sure it is absolutely clear, in the situation you have described "parking discrimination" is 100% legal.

    Parking discrimination at work

Nope, not gonna fly. To qualify as illegal discrimination, the practice must be based in a characteristic protected by law. "Whether you are or are not management" is not a characteristic protected by law.

    Working in Walmart

Jack has pretty much summed it up. You can, legally, be fired for being away from your post for too long at a time or too many times. It is possible, not definite but possible, that your condition may - may, not will - qualify as a disability under the ADA. If so, then your employer must...
