Can Stepmom insure stepson?

I am about to lose my job and benefits. My wife can add me to her insurance but can she add my son (her stepson)? I have full legal custody of my son and I've also paid his insurance since he was born.

(Son's mother does not have a steady job, much less one with benefits.)

Yes, she can-- I use to be insured under my Step moms plan for years-- Just have her call her benifit admin dept

She should be able too. Most companies consider step-children eligible dependants.
