The decision may be a good one under Canadian law. But I think it would fail in the U.S. courts. The majority on the Canadian court seems to apply a broader definition of exigent circumstances that the U.S. courts do. So from that perspective I voted in disagreement of the majority decision. I'm just not seeing a compelling argument that exigent circumstances existed.
