Well, technically yes it is her right to do so. Your employer should not care though what goes on in your personal life.

A judge might not like her antics, but as far as them being illegal? Not sure.
 
Child Support Situation

I'm about to have my first child. During the 1st month of my ex-girlfriends pregnancy she sent me a text message stating she would be taking me to court for child support. It seems to me like she had an ulterior motive? Will the court ignore the fact that she was screaming child support during her first month of pregnancy even if I have written proof?
 
I would document any further demands for money but until a court tells you to do so, you do not have to pay her anything.
