I had my car impounded in a car accident and the CHP wouldnt let me touch it for 30 days. it's been 27 days now and the impound lot says i owe them $1000. The lawsuit for the accident already cost me thousands and i'm simply broke. The impound says the collection agency will come after me if i dont pay in 5 days. However, i'm 19 and i have absolutely nothing in my name (the car was the only thing in my name). I told them to take the car in lien or something but they say i still owe them the grand. If i have nothing that they can take, will they sue me for something like future income or something?
