Confidential email to report employment violation

I have been trying to work with my managers. He is not a great manager he harassed and puts people. The company offers confidential email to report employment violation. I am not sure is this truly confidential. I am in Florida.

It's not.

It's a way to weed out malcontents.

If it isn't unlawful discrimination or sexual harassment, either accept what's happening and stay under the radar or seek employment elsewhere.

While I disagree with the cynicism in the prior response, it's best to assume that NOTHING in the workplace is confidential. If you really want to be confidential, create a gmail address from a public computer and make the report.

Many of life's decisions and/or choices one must make absent input from others.

Mate, this is your call, and solely your call.

You must choose carefully, otherwise the blowback could be much harsher than initial issue.

If I were in your position, and I have been a couple times in my life.

If one is unsure about this or that, one might be wise to do and say NOTHING.

Most people dislike SNITCHES, RATS, and TATTLETALES!

yeah, it depends do they use a third party or confidential line?

Once you report it though they will try and unmask you if you will so depends upon how much you want to fight it. They won't really do anything unless it is flagrant violations and the only real enforcer would be the Labor Board or EEOC if you have one in your state.

Doesn't every state have those? It's crazy if they don't.

Florida closed their state Department of Labor about 20 years ago. There are one or two others as well, and the Georgia DOL has been described as a post office box where no one ever picks up the mail.
