we are to work mandatory 7 days a week for months at a time. We do get time and half pay. This is in a factory in Pa. How is this legal?

It is legal because there is no law that makes it illegal.

In approximately half, or maybe a little more than half, the states, including Pennsylvania, you could be required to work 365 days a year (366 in Leap Year) and as long as you were paid properly and got all the overtime you were due, it would not violate a single law.

Thank You for your quick reply.

Pennsylvania does have laws establishing maximum hours of work days in a week, max. hrs. worked in a week, & max. hrs. in a day...... for particular occupations. However, I do not see where factory workers are included in any of the laws.
