You can be convicted without any witnesses.
DNA, fingerprints, video, your mere presence at a crime scene, driving without a license, a police officer's observation, DUI, sitting behind the wheel of car idling in a parking lot, or trace evidence are all examples of things that can cause you to be convicted of a crime.

We don't have much information here - convict someone of what? Sometimes people get convicted of a crime & there are no witnesses.
