default judgement

taking a former friend to small claims for $600 he owes me for a trip we took to miami in july 2009.

hes not going to show up...100%...do I still take the stand or does the judge see he is not there and give me judgement? I also have a witness with me

How long is the judgement good for? I read it's good for 12 years!

If he is a no-show you will get your judgment pretty much with no questions asked.
