A Florida female convicted in the fatal shooting of her female neighbor.

In June 2023, Susan Lorincz was arrested and charged with manslaughter and assault in the death of Ajike Owens. On Aug. 16, a jury found her guilty of manslaughter.

An arrest affidavit states that on the day of shooting, Lorincz was observed arguing with children who were playing in a field close to her home. During that argument, Lorincz allegedly threw a roller skate at one of Owens' children.

The court document said, "After learning of this, the victim, accompanied by her 10-year-old son, approached Lorincz's home. The victim then knocked on Lorincz's door multiple times and demanded that Lorincz come outside. Lorincz then fired one shot through the door, striking (the victim) in her upper chest. (The victim) died from the gunshot wound."

The affidavit also states that Lorincz called 911 when Owens approached her door.

The document said, "During the call … Lorincz advised that three juveniles who live across the street were outside her door, yelling at her. After being advised that deputies were en route to the location, that call ended."

Minutes later, deputies in route received multiple calls reporting shots heard in the area. Lorincz also called 911 again and "advised a female tried to break down her door while yelling and that she shot through the door."

Authorities said Lorincz had been feuding with the victim and her children for at least two years.

Lorincz faces up to 30 years in prison. Sentencing is expected in November, however a date has not been set.

This article was originally published by Court TV where there is a dated list of key points throughout the trial.

What the heck is infecting people today?

People lack self restraint, discipline, and the ability to reason.

Today makes the once "wild, wild, west", appear tame and boring.

The convicted murderer faces death in a filthy prison facility, because she was stupid enough to misbehave and shoot blindly through her front door.

The deceased had evil on her mind, until the murderer deployed overwhelming violence by firing blindly through a door.

The deceased took a child with her, as if to instruct the child on committing violence upon others.

The shooter called police, but the victim appointed herself neighborhood protector.

Sheesh, stupidity is exceeding expectations everyday.

Where do you get that the deceased had "evil in her mind"?

Common sense, angry, screaming threats, pounding the door, logic tells me the deceased female wasn't bringing a pot of chicken soup, a welcome to our neighborhood card, or an Italian Creme Cake to welcome the shooter to the neighborhood.

The deceased was angry, apparently because the shooter, AKA, killer is alleged have thrown a roller skate at the 10 year old son of the soon to be deceased female.

And that's not a valid reason to be angry? C'mon, Judge.

If someone did that to one of my children back in the day, I'd have called the police.

Once the 911 call was completed, I'd have stayed on my property for the police to arrive.

When the police arrived, I'd have told them what occurred.

These days confronting others can very often be hazardous to your health.

The police would have investigated and calmed things down.

I'd also make sure my children would stay on my property and not trespass on the property of others.

Self help where tempers are hot is never wise, unless human life is in jeopardy.

Of course, that is based on the convicted killer's version of events.

Of course, that is based on the convicted killer's version of events.

I suppose she told the tale many times after the kerfuffle and her arrest. In one form or another, I'm sure much, if not all of the story has been revealed.

Alas, no one was able to tell the deceased's version.

As far as the shooter is concerned, she's likely to get her visit from the Grim Reaper sometime over the next 10-20 years in a state prison facility.
