Oh, wow! I'd forgotten about NOLO. I've used their books in the past when I had my own small business. Thanks! Do you think it's reasonable that we could handle HR with NOLO alone, or with SHRM (meaning is it worth the investment)? Or do you think we should definitely bring in someone else? I'm hoping that we can do it ourselves and then have someone look over what we've done just to ensure compliance, but I'm not sure who that someone would be or if it was something that we could do reasonably through the website here.

I think at the size you are, with the NOLO and SHRM resources, you can manage on your own. When and if you get to 30-40 employees, it might be worth bringing someone in at that point.
