Your social insecurity payments are safe from levy or attachment.
If you are paying on the vehicles, their lien is useless.
The finance company (or bank) has a lien superior to theirs.
No worries there.
If you own the vehicles outright, not to worry.
They'd have a hard time forcing a sale of the vehicles.
The ONLY way they get money would be to ask the court to FORCE you to sell the vehicles.
A small claims court does not possess that power or authority.
So, if they place a lien on the car, so what?
But, they can't just PLACE a lien on your car.
They'd have to SUE you and win.
Then they'd have to find the vehicles and try to attach them.
Don't let them scare you.
Close you bank account, if you've compromised that information.
And, as Moose said, open a new one.
But, if ONLY SS payments have gone into that account, they can't seize those funds.
If you haven't, no worries.
Bottom line, they haven't sued you.
They only want to scare your money out of you.
They aren't going to waste money suing you for some small credit card claim.
BTW, this isn't the credit card company suing you.
This is a vulture and credit collection scammer!
Change your phone number and ignore these bums.
And for God's sake, don't converse with scum like these again.
You don't owe them anything, unless a judge says you do.
Even then, you aren't required to pay.
They are required to TRY and collect.
That ain't as easy as scaring money from old people and handicapped folks!
