here is my situation. I have a 6 month old baby with a man who I had been dating for 3 years but never married. As it turns out he is a married man with kids to his wife of course I never knew about his wife and kids. That however isn't the problem. When i told him i was pregnant he wanted me to get an abortion but i wouldn't. he walked out and came back when my son was born and agreed to sign paternity papers. I enforced child support only to discover that what he said was his name isn't his real name and that he put down a false social security number and false address. It has taken child support services 5 months to find his real address. He has a couple alias names and false addresses. Well he showed up with a gun a few times claiming he worked for the government and had to carry it even laid it down a few feet from our son and told me he would kill me if i ever cheated. Well a few weeks ago i filed a PFA against him after he came in and made threats against me and my family and he grabbed a hold of my arm. He handed me a letter from his attorney stating if i didn't drop the case then they would take custody of my son out of spite. Now domestics said theirs nothing that can be done because he didn't commit a criminal offense and I am terrified not only for my life but out of fear that he will take my son off of me and hurt him. I am going to file for sole custody and apparently he'll have to sign new paternity papers but my question is what else can I do? Can he get away with all of that? He lied to me about his name and job. Thankfully I gave my son my last name. Do I have a case or even a shot at getting sole custody of my son?
