Is it too late to be entitled to part of the pension??

A couple was divorced in NYC after a 22 year marriage. At the time of the divorce the woman did not know enough to ask for a portion of the man's pension. She has never remarried. Is she entitled or is there anyway she can claim a portion?

She is probably out of luck unless she can prove fraud or some other reason to appeal.

She can try to file for a modification, but I doubt she will be successful.

How long were you married? Pensions can't really be taken out of context from your other assets. If you post all the details suggested in the forum home page someone would be able to give you an idea of what a court might give you if you had to go that route.
