I was detained for public intoxication in Seal Beach, CA, then released 4 hours later. I am concerned about any future employment applications I fill out. Do I have to admit to being detained?
No. I've never seen a job application that asked for detentions. Only for convictions and very, very rarely arrests. In fact, I've seen some that specifically exclude any alcohol-related isses.
