Land transfer

Yes. Split right down the middle.
Based on OP's previous posts, I don't think OP knows or understands what subdividing the land means.

I think her intentions are to build a house on a large parcel where she owns half the land. She doesn't understand that she can't own the house and not the land it sits on as has already been explained to her.

Subdividing the parcel into two lots of record would take much time and she doesn't end up owning the parcel where the house would be built

Which half? Also, why? Have you both fully considered the tax implications of the transfer?

-The half with nothing on it. We are going to build a home on it, but have to show that I own it first.

We are going to build a house on it. (The land is currently in his name, but the house will be in my name and I have to show ownership of the land before they can start building).

So to achieve what I think she wants can only be done through a subdivision (where the land and house are owned by OP) or the undivided land and house are deeded to both .
