Landlord Creditor Harassment

Help! Not sure what I can do. My landlord has serious credit problems on multiple properties they own. We had previously received foreclosure notices on the property we live in and are now receiving continued harassing phone calls from their 2 different mortgage companies. I believe they have our number due to address searches. I have told them each and every time that this is not, nor has it ever been, the owners number and have given the owners contact information. I have also asked them to remove our number and each time they say they will but the calls continue. What do I do? This is harassment. The landlords have even called the financial institutions and told them this is not a good number. HELP!!!!!

Sounds like there's little you can do since even the landlord has attempted to remedy the situation.

the only thing you can do in reality is change your number and leave it unlisted. the creditors are going to continue to hunt down that landlord until they get their money, this happened to a friend of mine and they changed their number, left it unlisted but were forced to move when the property foreclosed, so I would find out the details of an approximate foreclosure date and plan to move.
