I live in Michigan and worked for a company for 9 years. Without notice I was layedoff for "lack of work" and my posistion was filled by 2 other employees within the company. This was 2 months ago, and now I have learned that they have posted my job posistion in a local help wanted add. My employee record is void of any disiplinary actions of any kind, my service to the company speaks for itself as they already have 2 people trying to do my job and are now seaking more. I understand "unfair is not illegal" but is it legal for them to lay me off for lack of work, replace me with other employees, then hire new employees without calling me back?
