Can anyone tell me if it this is legal, my sister called my job and told my employer that i lied on my job application regarding my level of education (i did lie and i can get fired for it). So I confessed to my employer that i lied about my education on my job application and they will be letting me know at the end of the week whether i will be fired or put on a 2 year probation. I have worked for this company for 5 years now and I haven't spoken to my sister in 4 1/2 years, she and I haven't gotten along in the past but i would never do a thing like that to her (it's a very long story) And just so everyone knows, i work in an assembly factory. (education is not really required for what i'm doing) Not that it's an excuse for lying i just really needed the job and wanted to make my application look better. It just can't be legal for people to call someones place of employment with the intent to cause them grief and possibly lose their job

i dont know if its legal or not but that sucks and shes a big b. i hope she gets hers someday what goes around comes around.

You are familiar with the concept of free speech, right?

There is nothing in the law preventing your sister from calling your boss and telling him the truth.

Okay, it was a lousy thing for her to do. But you're the one who lied on her application form.
