I suspect you mean a native born citizen, or as the US Constitution termed it "natural born citizen" of the United States.

That has come to mean today a person born in any of the US states, territories, or possessions; or born to US citizens who happened to be abroad at the time of the child's birth.

Naturalization is defined as the process by which U.S. citizenship is granted to a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act.

The only right a "natural born citizen" of the United States possesses over a "naturalized citizen" is the right to become US president one day. As there have only been 44 presidencies, and 43 people ever serving as president, the difference is all but indistinguishable.

(Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms as president and is counted chronologically as both the 22nd and 24th president.)

Thank you for that answer. My next question. What is Nationality? Do you gain Nationality once your born in the US? For example, African-Americans have no nationality, since their status involves two nations but they are considered Naturalized citizens. Who claims them? Africa or the US. If Africa claims them then which countries would be considered their nation country. Any cases or books you can point me to would be much helpful. I've looked over the Dred Scott vs Sanford case and the 13th and 14th amendments but nationality is not addressed. Thank you in advance.

Seriously?? You do know that Africa isn't a single country right? It is a continent made up of multiple countries, each with their own unique citizenship requirements. African American refers to cultural and racial heritage, not citizenship. Dred Scott lost all relevance outside of history books a very long time ago. As in, you are like 150+ years behind the times. Just to spell it out in plain English, race has no bearing on citizenship and hasn't for a very, very long time.

What is African-Americans nationality? Not race but nationality. For example, I interviewed a professor for my paper whose Irish but born in America. She recently went back to Ireland and claimed her national status. Any cases or books you can point me to would be much helpful. Thank you in advance.

What is African-Americans nationality? There is no such thing. It refers only to race and culture. If a person is born here, their nationality is American, no matter their skin color, religion, where their parents were born, or whether or not they might be able to claim citizenship from some other country as well.

How do you claim it? As a US citizen are you born with it? You are born in this country or to parents who are citizens. Yes.

If Africa claims them, then which countries in Africa claims all the African American in the US? None. Africa can't claim squat. Every country on this planet has its own citizenship rules, not just those in Africa. It is possible that any person born in this country could claim dual citizenship if they also meet the guidelines for citizenship for some other country. Whether or not any given person born in the US, African American or not, may claim dual citizenship for a country in Africa, depends solely on the laws of that country. There is no blanket or automatic dual citizenship conferred based on race or ancestral origin.

Your premise is off, way off. I suggest you go back to the drawing board, friend.

The majority of African-Americans living in the US today weren't immigrants. The African-Americans living in the US today are primarily descended of slaves. Those slaves were kidnapped, transported across an ocean, and forced to work and serve their "masters", mainly Caucasians.

The "freed" slaves were later granted citizenship via the 14th Amendment.

The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, the 14th Amendment granted citizenship to former slaves, and the 15th Amendment gave black male citizens the right to vote.

The people who were kidnapped on the African continent had very little in common, other than being kidnapped somewhere on the continent of Africa, and the shared indignity of slavery.
