I have went in this past week monday actually, to my leasing office to terminate my lease because my husband has deployed. I have had a few issues here and there with the office. We went in and one of the employees informed me we did not have renters insurance, i knew i had valid insurance. the office gave me a ten day notice for my renter was insurance. i told the employee had renters insurance and it was paid up to date. she went a found my file folder and found the paperwork in my folder. They had not posted it to the account on the computer system. we took care of our business and left. Wednesday, my husband deployed, I came home and found a ten day notice on my door to comply with terms in lease or vacate premises.the a CLAIMING we have not paid our water bill since feb, it is now july! and they have just notified me.First I know i have paid my bills, i would never let utilites fall behind like that. I have no proof i have throwin reeciepts from my money orders away after i paid my bills. i went back to the office and spoke with them, they had no record on the computer as far as the employee at the office could see. I made them print me a copy of the paper they were looking at, turns out they had one payment. which i think was in may. june i know i took a money order in with my husband and the employee i was speaking with is the same employee i gave the money order too. well considering i did not have proof of my payments i was going to pay the 300.00 dollars they say i owe, but i can not pay it in full like that I told them I could pay half of the amount on the 15th and then another half again. No they did not agree with this, it is pay in full or leave. I cant leav my home, i have a two year old and i am pregnant and have no family in this state. What do I do?
