There is no "normal" amount of time. Could be different for every case.
If you're still in jail and it's been more than a week you ought to be talking to a criminal defense attorney.

Two years since what? Are you saying you were arrested two years ago and released and haven't heard anything since then? What was the alleged crime?
Possesion and distribution of Child Pornography. And I can prove I was not where I suppossedly commited those crimes at the times I supposedly committed them, and the "evidence" they confiscated was with me. So yes, I was released on bond 2 years ago and have not heard a word since. They wont even respond to my lawyer.

Have you contacted the prosecutor?
Did you post bail, a bail agency post bail, or were you released on your promise to appear?

Contact the county sheriff where this occurred. Provide your name and birth date and ask them to check if you have any outstanding warrants.
If you don't have a warrant then just lay low. No need to keep bringing their attention back to you.

Hi there: First off,I must say,I find it very odd,that your attorney is getting the run-around by the DA's office,and can't get any answers that you need.If it was just you calling,well,that's another story.
That said,the rules are different on indicting someone when they are in jail,and when their out on bond as you are.If custody,the prosecution has 90 days to indict from date of arrest,2010 Georgia Code :: TITLE 17 - CRIMINAL PROCEDURE :: CHAPTER 7 - PRETRIAL PROCEEDINGS :: ARTICLE 3 - INDICTMENTS :: § 17-7-50 - Right to grand jury hearing within 90 days where bail refused; right to have bail set absent hearing within 90 day period
Since you have been out on bond for two years,it's difficult to say what has happened with you case,and I would imagine that any further investigation to support the charge(es) should have been completed within this two year period.
Hopefully,your Attorney will be able to provide you with an answer sometime soon.Also,be aware that in Georgia the prosecutor can choose to either indict,or file what is called an "Information" where there will be a Preliminary Hearing before the judge instead of the Grand Jury.
