I was a couple of months behind on my payment at a local furniture store. Well they sent someone out to my home. I spoke with the gentleman and explain that I was the only one working at the time and I would try my best to come by there by the end of the week. Well my light bill was due and I get paid biweekly so of course I paid my light bill. I meant to call them that Monday but I worked late. Well the gentleman came back and again and a family member was sitting outside. He begins tell this family member all about my late payments and how I needed to catch them up before they come to get it. I want to sue? Do I have a case?

I don't see a case - what are your damages?

The fact that you owe money is not confidential information, and I doubt it was done in an effort to intentionally inflict you mental anguish or harm. A lawsuit is about money. It might cost you tens of thousands of dollars to try and sue for damages that are, at worst, a brief embarrassment.

Pay the bill or resolve it and tell your family member that it was a misunderstanding and all is well after you have cleared up the matter.
