Can I impose a pet security deposit on people that are already living in my apartment? We have no formal lease agreement.
Their dog has caused significant damage to my apartment where I have paid the rental deposit, and where I am the only one on the lease agreement with the apartment complex.

They'll likely laugh at you and say, sue us.
This is why you ever sublet.
Sorry, without a deposit, you'll have to sue them to try and get your money back because if damages they've caused.
