Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication PI in Texas

I was arrested in Texas for PI. I do understand that it is a Class C Misdemeanor. However, I don't understand what the consequences (i.e. my record, do I need an attorney). What is severest (and lightest) punishment I can received?

What is PI? I can think of many terms! Personal Injury tops the list! Possession with Intent to distribute is another... it helps if you know the statute which you have been charged although a Class C is usually that "An individual adjudged guilty of a Class C misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500." It's in a note but I don't have the section offhand and can't confirm without the text.

I'm guessing he means Public Intoxication not Personal Injury
