Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft please help-- shoplifting

My sister and I were at a store the other day and for some reason we got the bright idea to take a couple of pencils out of a box of pencils instead of paying for the whole pack, well I was the one who had the idea and my sister is the one that did it, however we were caught and are being prosecuted, we both have clean records, does prayer for judgement only apply to speeding tickets? What should we do? Can I plead not quilty? I am 23 by the way and I live in North Carolina

Prayer for Judgment would not apply although the court may issue a suspended sentence and your record wiped clean if you complete a probationary period. Good luck and let us know how things have turned out.
